Mr. Iskandar Parvez is a seasoned banking professional with over 22 years of extensive experience in foreign trade, Correspondent Banking, Agency arrangements, Credit Line Arrangement, Re-financing & Discounting Facilities, Establishing of Inward Foreign Remittance Arrangements, Central Trade Operations, SWIFT Administration, banking operations, financial management, and IT administration. Currently, he serves as Senior Vice President and Head of Remittance & Offshore Banking Unit and Principal of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Training Institute at Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited, where he leads policy development and strategic planning.
Previously, Mr. Parvez held key roles at state owned Probashi Kallyan Bank as Deputy General Manager, overseeing multiple departments such as IT Operations and DFS, IT Systems, Central Accounts, Recovery & Law, and Training Institute. He also spent nine years at Union Bank Limited as Senior Assistant Vice President, specializing in international banking, SWIFT operations, and remittance management. His earlier roles at Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd. and The Premier Bank Ltd. further solidified his expertise in trade operations and banking compliance.
Mr. Parvez holds an MBA in MIS and a BBA in Management from Dhaka International University. Known for his leadership, negotiation skills, and commitment to professional growth, he continues to make impactful contributions to the financial sector.
His commitment to continuous professional development is reflected in his participation in numerous international (i.e. Thailand, Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, India) training programs on topics such as cyber security and payments, correspondent banking, foreign exchange risk management, and Dun & Bradstreet Knowledge Forum.
